Afternoon Tea at Brown's
A few weeks ago it was my friend Bridie's 20th birthday, so to celebrate we went for afternoon tea at Brown's in Reading.

I finished my 28 day teatox with Bootea, with positive results!
Just a head's up, this is a very short 'n' sweet post.

Burgers and the Big Screen: A day out in Brum
As it's the end of the academic year for students, it's always nice to go out and have fun with everyone before parting ways for summer.
On a few occasions now I've gone for a movie and burger in the centre of Birmingham, and all for around a tenner thanks to some handy vouchers. As students, we all like to save a bit of buck where we can!

I'm not sure if this is a national thing but on the back of the movie tickets from the Odeon New Street there's a "buy one burger or salad and get another for £1" offer for the Handmade Burger Co., valid for one month after screening. I'd only ever been once before to the Birmingham branch but remembered it being a damn good burger, so was more than happy to go and utilise the offer!

Valefest 2014 (w/ Little Dynamite)
On a drizzly Saturday, some friends and I donned wellies/disposable shoes and made our way down to The Vale for the annual Valefest, a festival organised and held by a team of University of Birmingham students to raise money for their chosen charities (this year was the turn of MacMillan and Trekstock). This year was also Valefest's 10th anniversary!

San Carlo with the McQueen
Last weekend marked me and my boyfriend's first anniversary.
We ended up making a last minute booking to San Carlo Birmingham, an Italian restaurant with some amazing food. Of course, I took the opportunity to get super excited about finally having an excuse to dress up and I FINALLY got to wear a Christmas gift which hasn't had a chance to leave my wardrobe- my Alexander McQueen dress!

OH GOD I'M 20 + Cards Against Humanity
It's happened. I'm no longer a teenager. I'm writing this after a hash of an exam I had to take today for uni, so this is the first time I've had an opportunity to let it sink in.
It's a scary feeling, being 20. Even though most of my friends have already passed the milestone, I never thought about the fact that it'd be my turn next. WHERE DID MY TEENAGE YEARS GO?! That's an optimistic quarter of my life, already gone (and a very pessimistic sentence but it's getting emotional).
On a lighter note, I got something I have wanted for YEARS- my very own DSLR! To tell you I was happier than a kid in Disneyland wouldn't even be an exaggeration.
