Top Teatox Tips!

(And here starts a HUGE backlog of posts which were delayed by my holiday.)

I finished my 28 day teatox with Bootea, with positive results!
Just a head's up, this is a very short 'n' sweet post.

Without further ado:

My top teatox tips!

  1. Drink plenty of water. I've never been good with drinking enough water, and I really noticed this during the teatox. It is so so important to keep hydrated, particularly as the night tea can induce a laxative effect.
  2. Eat well- but you don't need to obsess over food. I will admit I am prone to calorie counting, but it isn't the healthiest way to approach food. During the teatox I cut down on carbs by eating them in only one of my meals a day. I did continue to eat meat, but also kept that to a maximum of a part of one meal a day.
  3. As an extension on the last point- of course you won't get the tip-top best results doing this, but a cheeky alcoholic beverage isn't detrimental. I teatoxed to ultimately feel better about myself, and limiting myself on a night like my birthday would've made it feel like a chore.
  4. Don't leave the night teabags in for longer than recommended. I made this mistake and left one for over half an hour and still thought it'd be fine to drink. It was painful and just not pretty the next day (I'll just leave this point at that!).
  5. Keep active! You don't need to exercise 24/7, but make a conscious decision to take stairs, walk 10 minutes rather than drive- every little helps.

Would I recommend a teatox? Yes!

Not just because of the additional help it may (or may not) give, but also because it puts you in the right mindset to eat more healthily and exercise. After all, if you're paying the premium for your tea, you want to see results. Yes, this is a very expensive way to do it, but if it kick starts a healthier lifestyle, I'd take it.

This was after about 18 days- I went on to lose about 2 inches, just in time for Malaysia! More on that holiday very very soon.

If anyone has any more specific questions, drop them in the comments below!

  1. There's so much hype at the moment about this detox tea and I've been unsure whether it would be worth the money. It sounds really good though! Does the tea just taste like regular tea? x

  2. The day tea actually tastes like Chinese tea, it's really good and very easy to drink in my opinion, but that's up to your taste :) the night tea is a peppermint tea. I wrote more about it here on my first post about teatoxing if you'd like a read:
