It's happened. I'm no longer a teenager. I'm writing this after a hash of an exam I had to take today for uni, so this is the first time I've had an opportunity to let it sink in.
It's a scary feeling, being 20. Even though most of my friends have already passed the milestone, I never thought about the fact that it'd be my turn next. WHERE DID MY TEENAGE YEARS GO?! That's an optimistic quarter of my life, already gone (and a very pessimistic sentence but it's getting emotional).
On a lighter note, I got something I have wanted for YEARS- my very own DSLR! To tell you I was happier than a kid in Disneyland wouldn't even be an exaggeration.
Which of course lead to giving it a cheeky mini test run.

I was commanded to spin and jump while my boyfriend had a go on the camera too, and I took that demand very seriously.
As you can tell, we need to do a bit of work on learning all the settings! The dress was a cheeky present to myself from Asos. It's super flattering, great for Spring and Summer and the back cut-out is a nice little detail (and it's currently half price!). With Vale Festival and a holiday to Malaysia coming up, I am so excited to be able to take some really nice photos and make some really nice memories.
I actually ended up having a hilarious and controversial end to the evening with friends playing Cards Against Humanity (with a cheeky drink because we were celebrating, don't tell my Bootea). If you've never heard of it, it's utterly brilliant, and you can even download it free to print yourself! It's very much a game for an older audience, with sexual and downright dark humour that comes out as you play. The objective of the game is literally to have the funniest/smartest/most controversial and answer a 'question card' with the responses you've got in your hand. I can't even scratch the surface of how funny it is without sharing some of the cards, so check out Buzzfeed's article for some examples. I'll leave you with this tweet from Lance Armstrong too because it made my day:
This year has been probably the hardest one to deal with for me, but has also given me some great, great people, and for that I am thankful. Here's to 21 next year (don't even get me started on how much older that'll make me feel D:)
